Asia SiVon Cottom Scholarship

The Asia SiVon Cottom Scholarship is available to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. You must be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math to be eligible for this award. You must also submit a minimum 300 – word essay on the effects and aftermath of September 11th on today’s society, what you plan to achieve through college that can possibly impact the community and / or the world, and why you should receive a Memorial Scholarship.

Fountainhead Essay Contest

The Fountainhead Essay Contest is open worldwide to 11th and 12th graders. You must write an essay of no fewer than 800 and no more than 1,600 words on a topic relating to Ayn Rand’s novel, “The Fountainhead.” Topics can be found on the sponsor’s Web site. Essays are judged on both style and content. The winning essay must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of “The Fountainhead.” All information necessary to enter the contest is contained on the sponsor’s site.

Annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest

The Annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest is open to high school juniors and seniors. This year’s essay competition is based on the book, The Tempest. You must write an essay on one of five selected topics listed on the Web site to be considered for this award.

Project Yellow Light Video Contest Scholarship

The Project Yellow Light Video Contest Scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors and full – time undergraduate students. To be considered, you must create a 25 or 55 second video that discourages distracted driving.

The Future is Female Scholarship

The Future is Female Scholarship is available to female students. You must be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. You must also answer five short essay questions.

TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION YOU MUST:
  • Be enrolling/enrolled/have graduated college with a 3.0 GPA or above.

  • Be an American Citizen/Resident.

  • Be an awesome female.

  • Deadline to apply March 31st, 2017. Winner selected by April 3rd, 2017.

THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE:
  • $3,000 towards the course of her choice.

  • $300 of True&Co. Brand product.

  • A full feature and interview on the True&Co. Journal showcasing what makes you fabulous and feel beautiful.

The Adelante/MillerCoors National Scholarship is available to students at partnering universities in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Mexico, New York, and Texas.

You must be a full-time student in your junior or senior year and studying business.

You must also have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

Two letters of recommendation are required with your application.

The Tyron Garner Memorial Fellowship is open to law students or recent graduates who have first-hand understanding of the issues that affect communities of color and have experience working with LGBT and HIV issues and with African-American communities.

Fellows will work with attorneys on initiatives related to these issues.

Offices are located in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas.

PIRG Fellowship

Award: $24,500

The PIRG Fellowship is available to recent college graduates who are interested in the public interest movement. As a PIRG Fellow, you will build expertise on global warming, campaign reform, or another social problem. You will conduct research, make the case for solutions, act as a spokesperson to the media, build diverse coalitions, write grants, and develop the kind of politically powerful support you need to win.
